That's never what it was about. From the beginning it's always been about the new character design. It's absurd to give any other excuse -gameplay wise- when the game only came out today.
Honestly I've never been so disgusted with fans my whole life as a gamer. This game trashing because of white hair turning black is fucking ridiculous.
It's always been about the hair. You wouldn't be using gifs of a completely different game if you had a good argument to explain the backlash isn't anything but the hair.

There's been a demo for a month now.
Explaining it to you won't change a thing, you already like that dumbed down DmC gameplay but I'll keep it short: gameplay is a step back, slow game, no challenge even on hard difficulty, few enemies on screen, 30 FPS, you can get a SSS with 2 axe combos, boring bosses.
As a stand alone game DmC looks good but as a Devil May Cry is a step back, its more God of War than DMC. That gif of MGR is just to show what hack and slash games are all about (gameplay, crazy combos, 60 FPS, challenge) Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden 1 are good examples too. Yes there are people that bash the game just for the hair but the majority know very well that the hair is the least of the problems.
And finally after DmC bombs Capcom will end the franchise.

As an observer, ever since the game was announced -or more accurately- ever since Dante's design was introduced, there's been nothing but embarrassing backlash from the so-called original fans of the series. The demo may have been out for a couple weeks, but the hate over Dante's hair has been circulating for over a year. Only recently have the 'fans' been using other excuses to justify their silly reason of hating the game other than the hair. I guess even they realized how childish it was.
Now, the reason you stated... you realize it was just a demo you played, right? A demo that showcased a taste of the game. You don't have the full game so instead of copy/paste reasons from the typical DmC trasher, why not go out and buy it, play it, then give me some feedback.
Whether the game bombs or not, and it could very well bomb. What confirmation do you have that it's going to bomb or that the franchise is going to end? I hate subjective statements like that. This goes to show your emotion is interfering with your thought process. You're no different than the dark-haired Dante haters that you point out.

Why would I buy the game if I didn't like the demo? thats idiotic.
Isn't demos so you can try the game and see if you want to buy it?
If the game bombs (and I think it will but who knows really) Capcom which has become a really greddy company will cancel the whole franchise because of the multimillion dollar blunder called DmC. Capcom cancelled Megaman Legends 3 because even a low resolution handheld game was "too risky" for them.
Anyhow keep thinking is about the hair, I'm a hater, a whiner. I'll miss Devil May Cry but at least we still have MGR.

I wonder if i was to look back in some older posts would i find you complaining about the game before trying the demo??. just asking.
Also its clear to me you never planned to give the game a chance from the offset.
If i was to of went by the demo of a game i would of thought Sleeping Dogs was a pile of boring shit, i ended up getting a warzed copy for pc and it instandly changed into one of my games of the year and best open world game this gen imo, so good that after the first few minutes of playing i had to go and buy the game.
In other words a Demo is not something for you the judge the final game on and it even says so on demos.
But like i said your not going to take this into account as you dont want to like the game you never planned on liking the game and your just pissed off cos his hair was changed and nothing you say will make me think otherwise.
Im a big DMC fan have been since the very first game, i hated this game when i first seen it too, but the more and more i seen of it i found my self liking what i was seeing, so yeah here will be one old time DMC fan that cant wait to pick up this game once it launchs here.
