Some people just want to believe crazy conspiracies to feel like they know things other people don't and some are just really easy to dupe with a bunch of information that doesn't add up. My last neighbor used to tell me about how 9/11 was an inside job and how the government is releasing chemicals into the air to control the weather and into the water to stop people from having kids and a bunch of other bullshit, I'm sure she probably believes this conspiracy too by now if she's heard about the 'evidence'.
