Whereas franchises that don't need to change/ aren't stale are being changed every which way. Paper Mario is a prime example, there is no reason for them to deviate from a forumula that hadn't been used much, was great, and sold well. Another example is metroid. Metroid is a series based of exploration, immersion, and discovery. For some reason they want to turn it into a linear, generic, sci fi action game with an atrocius Japanese story.
Nintendo needs to change what needs to be changed, and leave some stuf the fu** alone. Change doesn't have to completely change what the series is all about. Look at Metroid Prime, it drastically changed Metroid, but kept everything that made the series great to begin with. It felt fresh, and faithful to the sries roots. |
Opinion, Millions and tens of millions of people disagree with you. Deal with it.
