Being that the PS3 was believed to cost $900+ to manufacture and sold for $600, the XBox 360 was believed to be $550+ to manufacture and sold for $400, both manufacturers have reasons not to take similar losses in this generation, and there are several rumours that both manufacturers will bundle an advanced controller with their system, if Microsoft and Sony release $350 systems most of the people who are expecting significant power increases from these manufacturers will probably be disappointed.
