I'm very similar to you in the regard that I play MP and multiplatform games on 360. Almost all my games on that console are MP based which I play with friends, so most of my time is spent on the 360. I play mostly SP and exclusive games on my PS3. It has some awesome RPGs which I'm catching up on. Whenever I feel like having time by myself and not be bothered by anyone in my game, I just go to my PS3.
Maybe because you have games you like more on the 360 that you play it more. See if you find similar types of games on the PS3, then you're more likely to finish them. I don't think it has much to do with the console itself as it is to do with the games.
