I enjoy both, but I prefer WRPGs a bit more simply because I think they mix up the genre and aesthetics up a bit more. It seems more often than not that western devs want to innovate the RPG experience, or at least change it up to the point where a unique experience is offered. Even toying with the JRPG formula. I walked away from games like Witcher, Mass Effect, and Costume Quest with a feeling that I just played a unique and wonderful RPG. The last time I honestly felt the way with a Japanese developed RPG was with the original Kingdom Hearts.
