I can maybe see it happening in the US but I don't think the rest of the world will follow that trend.
Just the other day over 2m iphone5s were sold in just three days in China
Probably be like another x360 situation where the US buys MS phones, tablets and the "rest of the world" buys Apple and Samsung. Don't know.
Looking at some of those growing economies then at the US's measly growth I know where I'd be looking to put my eggs in the future if I was either of those companies.
