Should prisoners get paid minimum wage for jobs done in prison?

Prisoners already get paid Max. They are prisoners, not slaves. Should be paid more.

I never said they weren't paid. I'm saying where do you think their pay comes from? It's not like prisons are a private corporation that profits from prisoners working. The citizens are paying for it with taxes. They shouldn't be paid at all in my opinion. and they should live in tents and be refused cable tv.

Um...prisons are run by private corporations now, obviously that is a huge moral conflict. What incentive does a corp have to rehabilitate and release someone when they are paid to imprison them?  I say no money for prisoners at all.  They already get room and board and cost us billions in this country. (USA)
