I picked Sony. I prefer their systems over the others for three reasons.
1. I have the choice of choosing a variety of titles and genres. Their first party studios have brought some of the best games I have enjoyed over the years I have been using their systems. From Crash, Spyro, Sir Daniel then Jak, Sly, Ratchet to Kratos, Drake and Cole. With a whole lot of other games to play in the mix. They have brought some of the best new IPs this generation. When I first played Heavy rain, I could imagine myself playing it on another platform.
2. The free online. I don't game online much, I don't really care to play online. So paying to get access to it when I want to play a game online would be a waste, when I do use it everyday. Also, the fact the if I want to use Netflix and other services on the PS3, I don't have to pay twice to get access to them.
3. The reliability of their consoles. I have had a PS1, 2 & 3 and have enjoyed them for a pretty long time. That is not to say they have never broke, but they have always been me breaking them and not normal ware and tear.
With that said, I do like playing on the 360 and Nintendo systems, they are just not the first system I would buy when it comes to choosing long term hardware.
