DOTA 2 is really popular and is shaping the e-sport world (same thing for League of Legends for Riot games). Valve keeps on releasing new amazing game and hasn't made a major mistake as a developer. The role Steam has on the increasing popularity of digital media and indie titles is noticable. Bungie is working on something that looks great so far. They're still actual. |
DOTA is still nothing special, it's just a me too game copying from Riot. Steam has nothing to do with Valve as a developer. Valves actuial game output is very sparse. Retro hasn't made a major mistake as a developer either, same goes for polyphony digital. Both companies are very probably working on something right now, so they are still relevant, either.
I just don't see any consistency in applying their citeria in this list, it's jumping all over the place.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
