I like how you say someone has poor reading comprehension mere moments after you fail to comprehed that that link says "in the US" XD.
And considering a PHD is pretty much the highest academic degree you can get in most fields of study. Considering only about .008% of the American population even has a PHD, I'd say thats actually a pretty high number.
What you are doing is the very definition of generalization: painting an entire group of people with a broad brush. If you want a bigger number: approximately 115,000 janitor have college degrees.
Education can often have little baring on what job you can actually get these days.
