| Rafux said: I completely agree with that copy-pasta. Forget about the characters and story DMC is more about gameplay and the new DmC is slow and too easy (even in hard mode), new-Dante's moveset is a step down from DMC4 and getting the SSS in the style meter should be about crazy complex combos not damage, they made it too 'casual'. That copy-pasta is a gathering of all the legitimate complaints the fans have with this game. We always knew it would receive high scores because most reviewers are casual players and in this day and age where FF13 and Ninja Gaiden 3 both get a 39/40 from famitsu and GTA4 a 10/10 from Gamespot scores are not the golden rule anymore, I'll prefer to believe DMC tournament player Brea when she said "I need DMC5". BTW: I won't spoil the ending but I'll just say is the most boring and bland thing I seen in a while. |
Well this DMC4. This player manages to get an SSS rankning in less than 10 secs.
I understand some players saying the style system is a bit lienent. But DMC is always about maintaing you rankning recieving no damage. This systems contain exploits, like DMC4, where the player reaches an SSS combo in less than 10 seconds with one move.
This is a speed comparasion of DmC and DMC4:
DmC and DMC4 are about the same speed when not running on Turbo Mode.
Whatever the case, I like DmC because in my opinion its an evolution over DMC3 gameplay wise. I think it takes some elements and expands on thsoe elements, like Nero's Devil Arm from DMC4. Theres a lot of other stuff I like as well. I understand that not all the DMC3 moves will be in there. But thats something I can get over, becasue I thought the demo played really well. Dante feels more fluid than before.
Its not just Ninja Theory making this game. Its Capcom who have spent a lot of time collaborating with them with respect to the combat. Based on what I've seen and the videos on youtube. I don't take opinionated articles like that seriously. Because its someone who wouldn't question DMC4 in any respect, despite the fact it was not considered the best DMC game; and that person is not Capcom, who I think know a lot more about how to make DMCs combat. If Capcom didn't you wouldn't see videos like this:
I apprecaite the game is actually easier. But there is a Hell and Hell mode in the game. So enemies have their full health but Dante dies in one hit. To me that seems like a reasonable measure of difficulty for those who want it.
