Depends for what kind of display. If it's for a 32 inch monitor for your PC, 4K brings the pixel density to 145 ppi. Which is half the one found on the Retina Display iPad. It's only with 8K resolution that we approach the pixel density of the RD on a 32" screen, bringing it to 275 ppi.
Depending on your usage, such a high pixel density can have its benefits.
