What makes the numbers hard to nail down is that a lot of people have a gaming system to play one or two games, be it a sports game, CoD, or Wii Fit. Considering that, I can't imagine that the term "core" describes more than 1/4th of the people who own a PS3 or 360. That number would be way less on the Wii. |
for me a core gamer would be a person who plays complex deep games on a constant basis....oh and your estimation is pretty close imo, 25% out of 80m would be 20m, like 8% of the total figure.
