Who says 4K is exclusive to 75" panels and above? Higher resolution is always welcome, years ago people like you said hd screens on smartphones were unnecessary. Guess you can't appreciate the huge ppi on devices like the new iPad? I sit 2.5m from my 50" 1080p plasma and I can differentiate the pixels.
