This just made me realize we will need a next gen of console hardware for 4k 8k and 16k. We dont even have 1080p TV. Because of bandwith limitations nobody broadcasts 1080p.

but TV streaming is a entire different thing. honestly the main thing holding back 4K gaming is adobtion rates of 4K TV's. which will certainly not happen in the near future. there is a big possiblity that 9th generation consoles have 4K as standerd (xbox/ps3/wii are 7th gen consoles)

TV broadcasting is different but it shows how much a proper 1080p signal can need. Volume caps from your ISP and high compression for cloud gaming wont work well with 4k where its all about perfect quality. Internet infrastructure won't be ready in time its unlikely Sony and MS will have to cancel their next next gen consoles because of the cloud.
4k TV sets will be adopted before the next gen ends like 1080p which was 10k in 2005 and now its the standard for sub 200 Dollar TVs. It will be like 3D TVs, impossible to avoid.
