yeah but it's a great way for expansion.... or micro transaction on items or cosmetic goodies... wow or mmo already use that model kind of you could do that with a lot of stuff and everything is moving that way with office 365, google doc, adobe CS is cloud based too now with subscription... I think the shift is inevitable, you'll still be able to get the disc I'm sure.... but you'll get updates live and you'll pay that disc less because you'll pay a fee... a little bit like anti virus do...
well they'll take the best of all and the customer will also decide but I think the road is pretty straight forward for the next decade or so but non the less exciting for tech addicts like us...
