After that 5 billion they lost on the ps3's launch. I don't think Sony is that stupid to do that again. $399 maximum.

They lost that because of all the money that went into R&D and the losses per unit they took. They could release a 599 console but effectively profit 200 on it, not saying that will happen btw.

Also the main reason it was so damn expensive is because of the Blu-Ray. Even if you bought a PS3 just for the Blu-Ray, it was the cheapest Blu-Ray player on the market. This time around I'm hoping they just focus on making it a powerful beast.
