I should have bolded the part I was replying to before.  I did this time and underlined it.

They could make a ton of money off of it but I hope they never do it either to be honest.

Because Pokemon's forumula already works well.  A part of the game is trying to find those pokemon in the game and if you take that away and put toys into the mix then I feel like it will take away from the formula.  I could just buy the strongest pokemon from the get go and never have to find and catch anything.
