Back in the day companys used to have mascots like. SEGA-Sonic,PS1-Crash bandicoot,PS2-Ratchet&clank,Jak&Daxter. Now we have Drake a murderer who kills people for tresure,Master cheif a killing machine. Do you understand me now.

So a decline in focus rather than sales.

And sales. Kiddy games we're huge sellers back in the day.
