Despite all that the 360 still has almost a 100 million unit lead when it comes to software which is way more important because that is where the profits come from.

I thought it was more profit if you sell hardware because it's your hardware and you get most of the percentage of the sale whereas for software a majority of the profits go to developers, retailers, etc. Plus you also can't really compare software to hardware. 600$ PS3 compared to a 60$ game. I might be  wrong on this though because I have no idea how much of a percentage Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo get when from a sale of a 3rd party game.

You are totally wrong both the 360 and PS3 where sold at a loss for most of there livetimes especially the PS3 which was sold at a $300 loss at launch.

Okay but what about now? They are sold at like 250$ each right? Let's say the companies get 100-150$ from every sale as straight up profit. How much would they get from a 60$ video game developed by third party?
