Some reason I am not so sure. From what I gathered from all the Live threads is that their friends are one of the most important reasons for paying for Live. So my only hope is that people abandon the Microsoft ship in mass numbers. However, then you have people that paid for a lot of Live content (XBL games, etc) which then can be transferred to the new system.
