Not to mention that the vita is now going against both Monster Hunters and Pokemon this year. A price cut will help but it needs better games before most people will buy it. Yes it has games but nothing that will sell it and we all know its true

You forgot Dragon Quest 7....... God.... :->

Oh yeah, i did forget about that.  People want to act like it's the price of the Vita and that is why its not selling well their is many more reasons.  The price hurts but its not the only thing.  The PSP hurt them profoundly with the lack good software.  It sold well at the beginning because it was the first powerful handheld and people trusted playstation at the time.  Now that Vita has lost its godchild or demigod with Monster Hunters it needs a new IP that can truly sell it.  Console like games are not enough.

how about no more psp games? I mean make a little. Isnt japan selling nothing but psp games (handheld wise)? All i see on the COMG charts are 3 or 4 3DS, 6 or 7 PS3, and 7or 8 PSP! Now we finally see two vita games but is it enough

The PSP did well in Japan and a lot of that was because Monster Hunters.  Vita isn't getting the same treatment because they dont have any big games worth getting.  PSP baciacally failed outside of japan software wise.  You can blame that on piracy or the lack of support.  Im not saying it didnt have any games outside of japan, just not enough.

I think the Vita will do fine but I dont think we should expect big numbers from it either like many people are hoping for.  If this thing takes off itll likely be a few years from now rather than this year, unless they have a BIG title plannedalong with a price cut. Not a good title, but a must have title. Sony needs to learn to adapt and restrategize or they will see themselves in trouble with the PS4 as well.  I know this site has a lot of sony supporters but people need to realize where they make mistakes rather than making excuses and making up things just to fit there personal ideas.  Not every niche game is a system seller.

Sony did a lot of things right with the Vita. It's just that Nintendo fooled Sony with the 3DS price lol

Sony matched the 3DS price($250), then Nintendo dropped the price as soon as it was known that Sony would be matching that $250 price point.

I was also fooled because i didn't recognise that $250 was too much for the Vita. I was more blown away at the fact that Sony matched the 3DS's price point at the time.

in order for this "mistake" to happen again, Sony would need to release the PS4 at $600(the same te PS3 costed). Sony already confirmed that this wont happen again.

If they have done things right with the Vita then explain?  They did do one thing right.  I feel like this console was built to have a long life which is a plus.  I will never consider it as a failure because this exact reason.  It may not be a huge success but in the end the hardware it's self will bring a profit in even if it takes longer than they expected.

They probably had the Vita built before the 3DS was even announced so I kind of figure that the plan was for $250 the entire time.  And the hardware is worth it too.

My whole reference with the PS4 is that they need to use a different strategy than what theyve been using.  They cant make the same mistake like they did with the vita.  It's almost like sony has been unaware the drops worldwide with the PSP and why numbers was dropping.  MSFT and Nintendo has become big competitors this gen so Sony has to be  much better with PS4 with their strategy or they will continue to lost marketshare.  They cant afford to take bigg losses next gen either

The physical media and the 2nd analog stick.

The only thing that is out of place is the price of the Vita and the Memory cards but Sony has always had overpriced memory cards. I can remember that back in the PS2 days

and what is the same mistake Sony made with Vita that they should avoid making with the PS4? the pricing, right?

isnt that Sony's only mistake in the gaming business? Like Nintendo is 3rd Party (home consoles)!

hmm i guess it is

i never really thought about that before

BUT you have to remember that the PS3 was also half baked when it launched
