Not a rumor it's confirmed BUT it's not GOW4 , they are working on a new IP. I guess we will see GOW4 few years into next PS

yep Stig (the man who made GOW3) said he has been working on something new during an interview pre_E3 in 2011. I'll try to see if I can find the video. Then afterwards through job postings it was hinted that the game will also have some shooting involved. I think we can expect to see it revealed during the PS4 reveal at E3. Knowing Stig I bet the game is going to drop some jaws :D
My mistake however I should have clarified the new IP bit is still a bit uncertain. It's definitely not GOW however. Also found this bit of info

Seems like SSM has expanded like crazy! Wouldn't be surprised if they have multiple unrevealed projects

hmmm its not offical that its a new IP and they are making another team, but its seems for sure though. i remember the rumers about SSM making a shooter, hopefully its still true. a shooter game vs monsters like the ones in GoW would be awesome! and a shooter with some boss fights like in GoW3 would be pure fucking awesome
