You seem to forget that traditional 'core' gamers like yourself who would play a game like castlevania are a niche market. I used to play games like castlevania, but when I was about 7 years old on my NES. Now I couldn't give a toss about games like this anymore, I'm an enthusiast now. Nintendo will have plenty of muscle to produce great games that I will enjoy without needing strong support from games like castlevania. If the PS4 and Xbox 720 try to appeal to core gamers again like they did with the 360 and PS3 then they're going to struggle to beat the Wii U in sales, as the Wii U will appeal to a wider audience like the Wii did.
