So ignoring the 40 million for the first four weeks to get rid of early adopter outliers, we see 20 million for the next six weeks works out to a rate of 3.3 million per week for Windows 8
Windows 7 is said to have sold 90M licenses 18 weeks after release for a rate of 5 million per week. Alas, I can't control for the launch surge here. But looking at longer-term Win7 shipments, we see 525M copies in 116 weeks, or 4.5 million per week as of Jan 19, 2012

It's early days yet, but right now, I'd say Win8 is selling faster than Vista, slower than 7.
