The only advice I could give them is to dump the current gameplay and make the game play like CoD, Battlefield, Halo or whatever game that actually works. Don't think that it would help them much.

Nice motivational stuff, but the brutal truth is that I don't care about it. I'm 28, have a job, girlfriend, a PhD to write and when I find time to play a game I want to play one that actually works and is fun for me. Spending a couple of hours playing a game that's no fun just to find out why it's not fun isn't something I want to waste my free time on, sorry. I'm gonna give this game a try once they finish it, but I don't plan to play the beta again. There is too many great games out there to waste time on bad ones.

gameplay, you can change the controls to anything you want. including the superior way to play any FPS. PS Move, or  mouse and keyboard.

From what you just said, my advice to you is to probably look elsewhere. I can tell you right now Dust 514 is not a quick pick up and play arcade style FPS like CoD, Halo and whatever. It is much more strategic since it is a persistent MMOFPS set in the EVE Online universe. I say that because you can join a cooperation, and you can be employed by an EVE Online player by accepting their contract if their price is right. I'll also add, the developers confirmed that it will take you seven years to unlock and fully cap all the skills available in the game

I don't think this game is for you after all.
