Why do you think Drugs are OK?

Banning alcohol has actually happened before. I think it was in the 1920's in the USA, and it completely failed to work. As for cigarettes, they will never be banned completely (i'm glad they are banned in public places like pubs/ restaurants in the UK though). There's too much money to be made from the death sticks.  

Yeah, beer was banned here in Iceland too for a few years. Didn't work very well because people just bought beer on the black market or bought harder alcohol.

Isn't Finland's goal to completely eliminate cigarettes before 2040 or something? That's what I heard recently. I wish every country did the same. Cigarettes are the cause of so many fucking problems it's incredibly hard to believe. I sit in class and it's almost every single day I hear about yet another disease/syndrome where cigarettes are the major cause and I just wonder how the fuck people can do this to themselves. Better preventive measures are needed. 

I personally would love a society without any cigarettes (cigars are better anyway!), it stinks and you are slowly paying for your death by doing, it's pointless. And yet i feel a ban wouldn't work, people need to be educated about it and make there own choice (as long as i don't have to breath it in!). Smoking should be at least kept to a house or a car or some place like that.
