Windows profit $1,646,000,000

E&D profit $19,000,000

conclusion: E&D barely makes any money

Also let's do some theorising

Windows 8: $30-50 per sale

720: Initial loss of $100/unit, $7/unit third party game royalty -> need to sell 20+ non-first-party games to make more than Windows license

We exclude all first party games from that because MS earns that money from PC as well. Also remember Win8 store has 30% royalty which is MORE than $7 on a $60 game, and this will form a decent percentage of Windows game sales.
