However, the most important reason in my opinion that we won't see PS4 in stores in 2013 is that Sony's not going to release it until after the Playstation 3 has finally passed the Xbox 360

What does this matter and how does it make it the most important reason? No really, I genuinely don't understand, do they want to advertise as being the 2nd most popular console of last gen so you should buy a ps4?

Also why can't they continue to profit from the ps3 after the ps4 launch? Ps3 may even outsell the ps4/xb3 early on.

I think when it's all said and done 360 and PS3 will be considered a different gen from the Wii.  Especially since Wii stopped selling in dramatic numbers some time ago and 360 and PS3 had well over 50% of the 7th gen's marketshare.

I heard Sony and MS also share a bank account. Oh wait, they don't. Stop lumping them together. Wii beat you, get over it.

I hope the PS4 releases the same day Pokemon does. I want to see what happens.

The PS3 will pass Wii in 2015 (2014 in Japan).

I thought you guys gave up that crazy dream in 2007 and lowered the bar and just decided to settle on just beating 36 0 :P

Dont revive that crazy pipe dream.

It's not a pipedream.  Just look at how well PS2 continued to sell so well long into the present gen.  It was still beating the 360 in Japan up until only a very short while ago.  Sony will continue supporting the PS3 for a long time to come.  We're only in year7 of their 10 year plan.  "The Last of Us" could even be a PS3 trilogy.  Since PS3 will sell over 10 million a year for the next two to three years at least Wii's 28 million lead isn't that secure.

lol take it easy there buddy. You havent taken into account that the next Xbox and especially PS4 (once announced and then eventually released) will slow the sales of PS3. Not to Wii levels, but it will take the wind out of its sails so to speak.

Itll be close, but don't make a promise you can't keep. Baby steps, take down 360 first. Then set your sights on Wii.
