3DS will be in it's peak sales year in 2013, mainly due to Luigi's Mansion, Monster Hunter, Shin Megami IV, Dragon Quest, and especially now with Pokemon X/Y. So because of the extreme popularity of those titles, and more surely to be announced around E3, I think 3DS will sell 16 million this year. Easily half of those sales will come from Japan, so that takes some of the pressure off of US and especially Europe, which is very, very soft right now compared to in the past. 16 million may even be low-balling it, but 16 million is an easy number for Nintendo to meet. 17 million or more is within reach if Pokemon out-does Black and White from 2010 and 3DS reaches the heights it did during the 2011 holiday sales season.
