Next gen I can see microsoft do all or nothing in Japan. They'll either go crazy and buy Japanese devs, get popular Japanese games as exclusives, etc. or they'll do absolutely nothing. I think they'll do the latter, because I don't think they'd ever get a return on their investment if they did really push hard to get a meaningful presence in Japan. What do you think chartz? |
They did that and it didn't prevent them to fail miserably. They should ship a few quantities for foreigners in Japan and stick to that. The Japanese hate them after what they've done, so setting a big promotion campaign and shipping a large number of systems would only be a waste of budget.
