Loss of purchased games would be a deal breaker, loss of backwards compatibility would be a strike against a system, elimination of used game sales would depend on how it was implmented (could be a deal breaker), a "controller gimick" would depend on what it was (I wouldn't buy a kinect based system), lack of games or potential is not a likely problem from any of the big 3, if I couldn't opt out of an online subscription that would be a deal breaker, and I have bought a system that sold poorly before but wouldn't buy one at a premium price (if cheap enough I would though).
