With the Wii U now out and the Orbis and Durango looking to release this year or next, many gamers are having concerns about the future of gaming. Every consumer has different values and things they find important for a console. What do you find important for a console to be a worthwhile purchase? What move or actions would cause you to forgo such a purchase? Are there any actions that would cause you to lose complete faith in the company?

I was looking up on NeoGaf about how Orbis and Durango are looking to no longer support used games. I am still hoping that these are untrue rumors, but I was suprised to see that most members of Gaf were perfectly fine with anti used game measures. I was also suprised to find that to them the real Dealbreaker would be if they lost their XBLA and PSN+ content and purchases. Even more strange that despite digital content being fairly similar to retail content, few gamers were concerned about retail backwords compatibilty.

So what would be a dealbreaker for you? To me anti used game measures are a pretty huge deal breaker. I often can't afford new games and consoles. Often I arrive towards the middle or end of a gen before I get a console.

95% of gamers don't know they are noobs, the 5% who do won't be noobs for long
