I'm sorry, but don't you have the remotest amount of compassion? Even if the guy is really just trolling, there's absolutely NO reason to respond in any of those ways.

Even if he is just doing it for attention, you have to ask, why does he want the attention? When it comes down to it, the response is the same whether he's seeking attention or being completely honest - suggest ways to resolve the issue at hand (and like I said, ways to resolve the issue are pretty much the same in both cases).

The "suck it up" response is good in small doses, but never for big problems.

I agree, however. Many on this board have a frightful lack of compassion.
