Gaming - 3DS VS PS-Vita - View Post

PSVita all the way, the screen is just gorgeous...I've played around with the 3DS and while the 3D effect works (Even better on the XL) the low DPI just cripples the machine. In my opinion sacrificing the DPI for a screen which is 3D capable was not worth it.

I'll also never understand why Nintendo went with just one analogue stick, after all the shit the PSP got for only having one, Nintendo goes ahead and does the same and it seems no one complains.

It would have caused no issue in terms of gameplay, in fact it would have broadened it, like making first person shooters possible, and no the stylus is not a good solution, not because it's not sensitive because it is, but because as soon as you use the stylus you lose half the buttons on the console. Keep in mind that using a stylus keeps you right hand away from the face and shoulder buttons, and while buttons can be mapped on the touch screen, games like COD will not feel as solid and smooth on it. Shooters like house of the dead or Kid icurus work fine with the stylus.

Now I hear allot of people pooh poohing on console like games on handhelds, or even saying that FPS should never be on handhelds, but I say why not? why can't we have both types of games?

I loved playing uncharted on my vita while on the train when going to work, I'm currently playing COD on the go, I seriously don't see why both can't exist on the handhelds.

The one approach by Sony which I love is the buy one game and have it on both PS3 and PSVita, along with cloud save, I can be playing BigSky infinite on my PS3, cloud sync and now I'm playing on my Vita while on the train .

I just hope after a PSvita price cut it starts selling better, a console this great deserves to be i the hands of more gamers.
