Here's an internet spin for ya
Sony: utter failure. No matter how well they're doing at the moment, they'll never make their money back. Not even with Blu-ray, which is doing terrible compared to dvd. Even if it surpasses 360, who cares? The generation has ended because i say so (doesn't matter if it's profitable regardless of when it sells).
Ms: Awful. WIth all that money, they still couldn't make a non faulty console (let's forget about the slim). They lost billions on the whole RROD fiasco and they keep getting outsold by Sony. They've almost lost already. They didn't even outsell wii in the States and it's a Japanese company (let's forget how close they are now or if it has surpassed it already). Live is a ripoff (doesn't matter if we're talking about profits and not the kind of service they provide)
Ninty: ds and wii did alright, but they got lucky. The wii sold because of a gimmick, which turned out to be a fad and is selling 0 units now (100m is obviously not impressive. Let's focus on the present). The wiiu doesn't have a gimmick, so it's failing. Ds did well, but only because Ninty always dominates the handheld competition.
It doens't matter how well a company does, people who blidnly hate will find some kind of "fact" to use. Similarly, they'll defend everything, no matter how ridiculous it is just to make their favourite company look good.
You can pretty much find mistakes in any company's strategy. All you need to do is spin it and then say, "but I'm only using facts".
So, yeah. Everything and everyone is doomed
