I personally think that 2012 was absolute CRAP for music. The only song I loved was Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys - and then I'm a Keys fan anyway. Eurgh. I have been listening to loads of music from the 40's to the 90's this past year - everything after 2000 (generally) just seems crap.
To be clear - NOT saying I think everything after 2000 was shit, but most of it is just garbage.
