Internet porn to a sex addict is akin to free liquor to an alcoholic - can devastate their lives.
To most everyone else it's about the same as having a beer or joint. Except those are done socially, porn is not.
Porn can be a very isolating and not at all helpful to people who already tend to isolate.
It also exploits many vunerable people who get sucked into the industry, and occasionally some of them die from AIDS or such (but injuries and deaths can happen in other entertainment fields as well).
