I think the only point where a line needs to be drawn is where an abnormality creates a danger to the self or the public good. 

For people who are seriously interested in changing their gender, there is a long process they go through including living for three years as a female without hormones.  Again, it's about knowing what they go through in order to make the change, it isn't about a kink.  The fact that psychologist have recognize the need for some individuals to undergo this process for nearly 100 years underscores the fact that the right means in these individuals to correct the situation is too undergo gender reassignment. 

Bottom line, I disagree with your opinion.  I think your definition of normal is outdated and narrow.
