You make a lot of points and some i agree with and others i dont. I think it is game of the year for 2012... Mostly because of lack of options.
One point i would like to adress is the ending comparison with mass effect 3. Yes, all the choices in both games ultimately boil down to essentially the same ending. However, i think the ending of walking dead doesnt get as much flack because it is a great ending. It is emotional, heartbraking, and very final. The ending in mass effect tried to be to open ended and the sacrifice involved in the ending was lost to the colorful explosions. Ultimately, players were mad more because the ending felt cheap rather than that hey had little choice in the end.
