Vita should get one by march 2013 if they want to remain relevant or by august if they just want to make more profits.
I think Nintendo may do something else for holiday 2013, not a price drop, but something else to look better compared to the Next Xbox and/or the PS4. Instead of bundling Nintendo Land they could put other game in there, or give away a Wiimote with every console. Something along those lines.
If the competition does not have anything ready for that season or the new consoles are too expensive (500 dollars), they will do nothing and just wait.
