Yeah because that worked out wonderfully for Final Fantsy XIII and its sequels.....

What good it would do staying restrict to a single platform?

I know. It would push sales of your favorite console brand.

1. It would take less time to develop or they could add more content since they'll have more time developing for 1 system.
2. They would be able to really push a console to its limits and really utilize its unique features.
3. It would push sales of that console and benefit both the manufacturer of that console and the publisher of the game. It's a win/win.
