Most his gen sequels are over-rated thanks to the pressures of the industry (Kane & Lynch VS Gamespot || Driv3r reviews...) and internet traffic. I can't think of a single site that isn't under pressure to give out good reviews to popular games due to their traffic having busted $50 on a brand new game & publisher pressure.
Skyrim is considerably inferior to Morrowind in everything other then combat mechanics and graphics. In terms of an RPG Morrowind has much more freedom as well as better HUD design etc.
CoD 5 onwards have all been sub-par FPS' ; the storyline's cliché and multiplayer is based on grind and luck with spawn points.
And Half-Life 2 just isn't anything special. Every time I state that the story is lacking and filled with holes, I get told to "fill in the gaps with your imagination". Well that argument would excuse any storyline....
