There are always mixed feelings about that. I remember a lot of people over the internet saying the 360 wasn't a next gen system, and a lot of them didn't recognize it as true next gen until the first Gears of War. It's just a transition process, it happens with every new console (specially if it is a "lone wolf" like the Wii U currently is)
