Not an American, however I am happy to see the market distorting subsidies end (if they do). US farm subsidies are destabilizing globally. If milk cost 7 bucks to make with a small profit margin then that should be the price, if you don't like it don't drink milk, or drink less milk. I have not drank milk in decades... it is not a necessity of life.
It is hard to fathom a country so afraid of a single payer health care system that benefits everyone, is so quick to hand out goodies to special interest groups like farm groups, banks, etc... in the quest for votes and cash donations to the campaign.
