The idea of a console fanbase is stupid. Fanbases for games? Great, fanbases for developers? Great. Consoles? No..

I own a PS3, Vita, 360, Wii, 3DS. I play all but I don't consider myself a fan other either console. I like games on each, there are features I like about each, but a fan of a console...don't understand the point.

The irony is that most of the people here are multiplat owners, so I never really understood the whole being a fanboy of a console thing. At least not to the extremes that some people take it. Hell I think I can count on my two hands how much people here game exclusively on one machine, and not even use all my fingers.

Of course - why should someone only buy exclusives? Being multiplat doesn't automatically mean game is bad. I would really like to know how the ratio of multiplat to exclusives actually is. I bet it's a lot bigger than 1.

not really what i was getting at, but i get your point anyway. Anyone screaming about exclusives is full of it. Bigger than 1? I say bigger than 3. Its just math, there are more 3rd devs than there are 1st party, on any given system. THere are simply more 3rd party games produced period. I really doubt there is anyone only buying exclusives, if they are they must have a small collection

But isn't 3 "a lot bigger than 1" as I said? ;) Especially when talking about a ratio. But I do know ppl who only have exclusives: Wii-owners ;) Mario Kart, Wii fit, Wii Sports :D

whoops my bad, I know those people too, but come on, those arent serious gamers. If those are the only games in their libraries anyway

Ok, these were the games they bought. Sadly, the Wii opened itself quite quick so there was no need to buy games anymore... And no, even with plenty of games they can't be called serious gamers.

I dont agree with that, those were just the type of games certain people cared about and they were not interested in anything else. Did they make another MK for Wii? Nope they did make another Wii fit/sports and people bought those. Thing is, thats all they bought and thats all they were ever going to by. I think the fact thats that all they bought it what makes them not serious gamers. I know im going to get flak for this but alot of serious gamers didnt just stick to Wii, not because they hated those kinds of games that were popular on Wii but because the other types were better elsewhere or simply didnt even exist on Wii. thats just my MHO
