What worries me a little is that Stig the director of GoW3 isnt working on Ascension. Now I know each GoW has had a different director but still :P. I really hope Tod Pappy and the team can do something great but I really feel like for the critics atleast, the MP is what will matter a bit. I mean theyve shown so much of it and to me it feels like Ascension is a way to intergrate and test MP in the GoW Universe without releasing something like a GoW4. If the MP isnt that good, and the SP lacks in any form or way, the critics might blame the MP.
However they might continue the franchise in one way or another eventually so they need to explore that MP and try to innovate.
I just really hope that the SP does have amazing moments and is filled with greatness just like the other GoWs.
If Naughty Dog could do it, Santa Monica should be able too.
Also as someone whose played the beta, I really really like it.
