... and what actually goes on in a lot of porn.

You don't need to watch porn to know what goes on in it, there are plenty of news reports and articles that discuss it, I'll quote something from a reporter on one of the more extreme types.

Because of course the media is going to spend a lot of time talking about the non-disgusting, non-controversial porn, and therefore represents a good cross-section of what sort of porn is most common, right?

You're like those idiots that notice that some homicides involve a murderer who is reported to have played violent video games, and concludes that homicides are caused by violent video games. The media isn't going to report that a particular murderer didn't play violent video games, and thus a false belief forms that there's some correlation.

The fact of the matter is, most porn isn't nearly as controversial as the one you just mentioned. Most isn't controversial at all. Many involve silly little storylines like the well-known stereotypical one of the handyman who comes to fix some problem at a woman's house, and the woman ends up coming on to him. The vast majority don't bother with storylines, and instead are really nothing more than people having sex in various ways (in a large portion of the cases, in relatively mundane ways), with various camera angles.

Simple logic is all I expect. I don't call for political correctness, only actual correctness. If you cannot make claims that are backed up by something more solid than "look at this one specific example", then your opinions are worthless.
