The one part from that article made an idea pop into my head. It could be pretty sweet if Kratos was released from his anger after GoW 3 and became a god who served to protect earth - almost like Zeus except having good purpose/intentions. They could create a completely new series or trilogy where some evil force (are there any other gods remaining? If so, they could be the evil force; if not, a new evil?) rises to destroy earth/humanity, and the game follows Kratos as the person who has to protect it.
This opens up all new moveset possibilities. It also creates the ability for SSM to continue the GoW franchise for several games to come, and with a fresh new story/plot.
One of the most important purposes this could serve, imo, would be that Kratos, for the first time, could be an admirable, honorable, relatable character that the general population could actually respect.
To major GoW fans, this could sound like a horrible idea. Idt so tho, if it was done the right way. I've wanted to like the GoW games, but I can't bc I can't enjoy playing as a character who is so twisted and obsessed toward the SINGLE goal of brutal revenge. GoW 1 was actually pretty good, but after that his ruthlessness just got way worse, and his anger (and constant screaming) became annoying. Who can look up to a character like that?
